  • NEW! Meals on Wheels Frozen Menu


    Did you know that we are now preparing our frozen meals in our own kitchen? We currently offer 17 different entres, 10 soups and 14 desserts. We are thrilled with all of the positive comments from our clients who have purchased the frozen meals: "the portion sizes are great", "these home-cooked meals are delicious!", "the soups are amazing", and so on. If you would like to give them a try, call us and order a meal today - there is no minimum order. You can find our menu here or by calling 613-478-2224 ext. 5002.

  • Community Care Treasures is Re-Opening


    We are very happy to share that our thrift store, Community Care Treasures, will be re-opening on Wednesday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. Come and see what's new at 312 Victoria St N in Tweed. We can't wait to see you!

  • COVID-19 Upate


    As a result of the current COVID-19 situation and through conversations with the Ministry of Health, Community Care for Central Hastings will be taking the following measures to protect our volunteers, our clients and our staff. • Effective Monday, March 16 and until further notice, our Diners Program, Friendly Active Living Exercise Program (Wednesdays at Timber Trails) and our Matthew Place Social will be CANCELLED. • Our Transportation Program will continue to transport clients to HIGH PRIORITY MEDICAL appointments only. In addition, all clients who are being transported will be screened prior to their trip. • Our Meals on Wheels deliveries of hot and frozen meals will continue, with some preventive measures implemented. • Our Home Making / Home Maintenance Program will continue to run, however a screening of both clients and brokered workers will be implemented on a regular basis. Please contact us if you are involved in any of our programs and are experiencing a fever, and/or new onset of cough, or difficulty breathing and have travelled to mainland China in the 14 days before the onset of illness OR, if you have been in contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19, OR if you have been in close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been to mainland China in the 14 days before your symptom onset. We will continue to keep you informed of any future changes to programs, as the situation unfolds. We urge everyone to wash your hands often, don’t touch your face and keep a ‘social’ distance of 6’ from people who you don’t know. If you have any questions about COVID-19, please contact the Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Health Unit at 613-966-5500.

    Our wonderful volunteers worked tirelessly to help prepare our beautiful new location for all the treasure hunters out there. Come by and visit the store now located at 312 Victoria St N, Tweed. We are open from 10:00 to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 10:00 to 3:00 on Saturday. If you have a previously loved and gently used item you would like to donate, please call the store at 613-478-0101 to arrange a time.

    We have the most amazing volunteers! To celebrate how much we appreciate them, we will recognize one special volunteer each season. We will kick off our recognition program "Volunteer of the Season - Fall 2019" with volunteer, Al Brownson. Congratulations, Al, you are amazing and we appreciate all that you do!

  • Community Care Treasures has a new home!


    A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful, hard working volunteers who helped us move our massive inventory of previously loved and gently used furniture and household items last week! We appreciate all that you do to make our thrift store run so smoothly. They are continuing to work tirelessly to get our store ready for our RE-OPENING on Tuesday, October 15 at 10:00 am. We hope to see you at our new location to find your next treasure!

    We want to thank the Municipality of Centre Hastings for the many years of ongoing support of our Meals on Wheels program for donating the use of Ivanhoe Hall. It has been a wonderful partnership that we truly value!

    Welcome to our new kitchen! We are thrilled to welcome our Meals on Wheels volunteers to our shiny new kitchen. Our first meals prepared in our state of the art facility were delivered on Tuesday this week to clients in our four communities.

  • Trees of Plenty Was a HUGE Success!


    The success of our very first Trees of Plenty fundraising event was 'over the top'! Congratulations to these three grand prize winners: Wayne Bronson (Tweed), Donna (Madoc) and Kathy Thompson from Stirling. We couldn't have done it without the amazing support we received in the form of donations and prizes, the tireless support from our volunteers, everyone who purchased a ticket and the following businesses for allowing us to sell/promote at their locations: Hidden Goldmine Bakery and Kelly's Flowers & Gifts (Madoc), Ivanhoe Cheese, Drummond Building Supplies of Marmora, Rashotte Home Building Centre and Bateman House (Tweed). Thank you so much!

  • Trees of Plenty


    We are thrilled with the donations that have been pouring in to support our 2019 fundraising event, "Trees of Plenty!" Donations are being accepted until April 15 and then we will launch ticket sales. More details on tickets will be coming soon.

  • Our Offices are Moving!


    We are excited to announce that we will be moving our offices to Tweed on *NEW DATE* April 26, 2019.

    We love working out of the Madoc community, but we've outgrown our space! All CCCH programming and services in all communities will continue to run with no interruption in services. Our new offices will be located at 310 Victoria St N (previously the old hardware store). Our new phone number will be 613-478-CCCH!

  • Our 2019 Fundraising Event


    We have some exciting news! Our major fundraising event will look a little different this year. We will not be running our Annual Spring Dinner Auction; instead we would like to introduce you to the lottery raffle tree event, “Trees Of Plenty”. Tickets will be going on sale in April. Three lucky winners will go home with a tree laden with money, gift certificates and lottery tickets! Donations have already been pouring in and we can’t wait! More details on ticket information is coming soon.

    We want to thank you for your support over the years with our Dinner Auctions and we are asking for your continued support with our new fundraising event.

    We celebrated our amazing group of volunteers who support our community and our organization on October 3, 2018. We were so happy to see almost 100 of our volunteers and guests come out to enjoy a wonderful lunch and play the "non-profit" version of The Price is Right!
